Inspiration from The Book of John
This painting was inspired by The Word of God, and by a woman in the world who was lost in sin. It was inspired by the sadness of being lost and depressed, because she didn’t know the fullness of the Love Jesus has for all of us. Many don’t understand when they meet Jesus at their own well when they are thirsty. Many women get tied down by the cares of this world, and are held in mental bondage by their own ropes that they have entangled themselves with. When they cry out to God in prayer, God always gives them answers, but sometimes everything in their life is so heavy, they are carrying around their own buckets everywhere they go, they can’t understand what He is saying. They haven’t surrendered their life to Jesus and put their buckets down, so they may freely drink from the Living Water He desperately wants to give from His well. Jesus wants to carry your buckets for you He wants to give you His Word and His Living Water...daily.
The painting shows an abstract image of a woman drawing water from a well. She was a woman who was in sin, and is depicted as a withered weed that has been transformed into a flower by The Sun. Jesus has given her new life. A new radiance now surrounds her. She was once a woman who had given herself too many men, and never married. She was a woman who loved to live it up. One day her eyes were opened, and she began to bloom. She is shown to have eyes that are still red, still tired, still yearning from the old lifestyle. This is a representation of how anyone can go to God just as they are, and should not be ashamed, and should act now and not wait. You need not be perfect. Jesus accepts you, just as you are. Come As You Are. The Son has given her light. The Son has forgiven her, and He will also forgive you. All you have to do is ask God to forgive you of your sins, and turn from your old ways in Jesus Name. Amen.
