Inspiration from The Book of John & The Book of Jonah
This painting shows an abstract image of Jesus walking on water during a big storm on the Sea of Galilee. The disciples were scared and are shown in a boat with their arms in the air crying out for help.
Christ is the anchor of our body and soul, and the rudder of our Spirit. God will always be there through all of the storms we go through, and make sure we are properly grounded and anchored in His Loving Care. God will always lift us up by His hand and carry us through all of the tough times, and direct us as rudder on a boat directs it. Jesus is always near to us even when we can’t see or feel him. The ups and downs in this world are shown by the arms of the disciples with the final position being up on the Hand of Christ. In the lower left section of the painting is a whale, as a reminder of what happened to Jonah. The whale is shown to represent that if we fail to obey what the Lord is telling us to do, God will allow us to go thru some things and experience events and situations because of our self-will. He will always swallow us up, maybe by a whale, and carry us safely to our destination because of His perfect Will for us, as he did for Jonah. Stay in the Word of God; it is Food for your Body, Soul and Spirit, and when all three are in sync, life is so beautiful, that the storms and the dark clouds cannot take the sunshine away. Pray in the Spirit always and know that when you do, God is there receiving every word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
