Inspiration from The Holy Bible
This painting shows an abstract image of Jesus sitting in a boat and calling upon Simon Peter, James and John for the first time.
The inspiration from The Word of God was to show Christ teaching the soon to be disciples about faith. They had worked all night and didn’t catch any fish. Similar to us working and working and nothing ever happening on our behalf, until we hear the Voice of God tell us to do this or do that, and then we move based on what He says. Then, and only then, the miracle happens for us as it did for the disciples. They had worked all night and hadn’t caught any fish, and then Jesus came and told them to cast their nets out again, and they doubted for a moment and then did what He said to do. After following His commands is when the miracles started happening.
Christ, the Ultimate Fisherman, is standing with authority with His Cross In The Air, and with His hook ready to pull you into His arms of Love. The disciples are all shown to be kneeling down to Christ and worshipping Him. The disciples are all the same shape, because we were all created equally in the image of God, however, God gave us all different color, unique talents, abilities and spiritual gifts as shown by the different shapes with the disciples and the different colors. The forth disciple is one of myself. The Tree of Life is the root system we must be connected to, and the Holy Spirit sees everyone who is connected and has accepted Salvation in the whole world.
When I saw the image of a beak I thought it was a chicken’s beak, and what came to mind was that God doesn’t want us being like chickens. I was soon corrected, and He revealed to me that it was an Ostrich’s beak. An Ostrich is what represents a lot of today’s society. Always running around, sometimes faster than the next person; as an Ostrich is, finishing tasks in record time, unlike a chicken, but always putting his head down on the sand and dirt, because of fear and not being able to fly because of the heaviness that is carried around, just like an Ostrich. In today’s world we must not be like an Ostrich, but like an Eagle. Soaring high above all the things in this world that may try and keep us grounded.
The clock is shown as a message to all to keep watch as the Lord told us to do, and be aware of the time spent that is either wasted, or accounted for. Greater is the reward for Faithfulness.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
