Inspiration from The Holy Bible
This painting shows an abstract image of Jesus about to multiply five loaves and two fish to feed 5,000 followers. The painting is a reminder of God’s supernatural power to do things and provide when all seems impossible. It’s a reminder that whatever troubles we may face, God Will and God Shall deliver you. You must be faithful to God, and remain in faith. This painting also represents that man should not worry about what he shall eat or drink, but shall always eat The Word of God on a daily bases. Jesus knew the 5,000 were hungry, and provided for them. In this world, we all hunger and thirst after so many things, and God knows what we need. God can multiply all of the things you posses. God can give you the desires of your heart. You need to ask yourself. Why do I need this and why do I need that? Delight yourself in His presence and He shall give freely as His Word promises.
The Word of God is presented in Hebrew text painted around the baskets and the scroll. The basket on the left reads, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction,” from Proverbs 1:7. The basket on the right reads, “Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the country,” from Deuteronomy 28:3. The scroll reads, “God has chosen thee to be a special people unto himself,” from Deuteronomy 7:6. The baskets are shown as a reminder to not just eat the physical food God gives us, but eat His Word as well.
There is a rainbow shown in this painting. A question came to me, and that was, what is normally at the end of a rainbow? The answer is treasure. This painting shows the ‘Treasure’ as The Word of God painted on the scroll.
God brought another word to me concerning this painting. The scroll-handles resemble two eyes, and the parchment represents the head of man, and the basket on the left resembles a mouth. This seems to be part of Proverbs 20, “Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.” Even a man with the knowledge of God’s Word can do deceitful acts to gain, and talk a good talk, but his words and the gains will turn to gravel in his mouth simply by his own thoughts, his own words, and his own actions.
When someone has The Word of God in his mind, and does not conduct himself in a Christ-like manner, his life can be very dangerous for himself and to others around him. If he chooses to have a riotous lifestyle, and has no true love for others, The Fear of God, nor does he produce ‘Fruit’ from his knowledge of God’s Word, all he will do is lead others down his path of hypocrisy.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and Love your neighbor as yourself.” Always keep these words from Jesus in your heart. Amen!
