Inspiration from The Holy Bible
The inspiration from The Word of God was to show John The Baptist at the first pinnacle point of his ministry. The second is shown in another AGGA painting titled The Platter. This painting shows an abstract image of John The Baptist at the height of his Ministry on Earth, baptizing The Son of God. John The Baptist, shown as having a Dove’s head, wearing camel’s hair, and in full obedience from God to follow God’s instructions knowing he was not The One, but was to Baptize The One. The Holy Spirit shown as a white Dove is descending upon Him, and has filled him up. Jesus is depicted with a hook that has grown once The Holy Spirit descended upon Him, as being the Ultimate Fisher of Men, and being prepared for His Ministry on Earth. This is the first of a two-part painting. This one shows John The Baptist at the Pinnacle of his ministry. The second painting titled The Platter shows John be-headed by Herod because of a promise made to his wife’s daughter. These two painting’s show the Height and Depth of John The Baptist as being The One Who Prepared The Way For The Lamb. John The Baptist preached The Word of God and proclaimed that we need to repent of our sins and be baptized. He was one of the greatest evangelists to have every walked on the earth. His life was truly devoted to the ministry that God empowered him with and he was faithful to carry it to completion. Do you hear God speaking to you about something he wants you to do for him? Do you hear that still small voice giving you detailed specific instructions about something to invent, a business to start, a phone call to make, or even to help someone in need? It’s not our own mind or our own power, but it is The Spirit of our Heavenly Father that gives us this information. We do not need to abuse his direction, by throwing it away, but we need to do all we can to make it happen and be courageous. When God sees your obedience, faithfulness and determination he will always make a way, just as he did with John The Baptist. In Jesus’ Name…Amen!
