Andy Gonzalez was born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands on June 19, 1974. His family moved to Texas in 1976, and Andy grew up in Pasadena where he discovered he was an artist and developed his drawing and painting skills while in school. Andy attended college at Parsons School of Art and Design in Paris, France where he produced several paintings, life drawings, sculptures, and studied color and design. He returned to the States in 1993, and began studying the Renaissance Period and continued his studies in Abstract. He started experimenting with classical drawing and painting, and developed renditions of old Italian Masters' work. Andy as attended the Glassell School of Art in 1998.
In 2008, Andy discovered he was given a new Abstract Cubist Style of Art. He has 241 sketches, drawings and designs for oil paintings he is working on named The AGGA Collection. AGGA stands for Andy Gonzalez God's Artist. AGGA was born in April 2008, and is divided into twenty-one series; all with biblical inspiration and messages within each piece. AGGA oil paintings are produced on canvas and wood panels. He is currently painting and designing in his studio and private gallery located on his property in Katy, Texas. Andy has already started the process of producing metal sculptures up to seven feet tall to compliment each of the oil paintings of AGGA three dimensionally. Andy and his wife Misty, currently collaborate as a team to write the Inspiration for each of the oil paintings in AGGA.
In March 2010, Andy Gonzalez launched a new Collection titled FACES. FACES is an unnumbered collection of New Media Art on Di-Bond Brushed Aluminum and Canvas that depict close up images of faces of every living creation on earth in an abstract style. These are faces of humans; famous and not, animals of every kind, insects, flowers, plants and trees. FACES was inspired by his son Noah. FACES is currently being produces in conjunction with AGGA.
Andy also provides services such as renaissance style paintings, individual and family portraits in his abstract style, sculptures, murals, frescoes, life drawings and paintings, designs and renderings for commercial and residential property and designs for furniture and clothing..
